ProBeauty AI (“we,” “our,” “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our users and their clients. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our website and the ProBeauty AI mobile application (available on iOS and Android), in compliance with Meta's API requirements, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information:

  • Full name and email address
  • Profession, specialty, and years of experience
  • Business name
  • City and State
  • Profile information you provide

Client Information (from users of our platform):

  • Name and contact information
  • Beauty preferences and consultation history
  • Images of treatment progress (stored only with the client's consent)

Platform Integrations:

  • Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp access tokens for automation purposes
  • Google Drive integration for file uploads
  • Calendar integrations for booking services

Payment Information:

  • Payment information is processed securely by Stripe
  • We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers
  • We retain transaction records for billing and tax purposes

Usage Data:

  • App usage patterns and feature interactions (via Vercel Analytics)
  • Device type and operating system

ProBeauty AI Mobile Application Data:

When you use the ProBeauty AI mobile application, we may collect:

  • Photos and images you upload for client progress tracking, before/after comparisons, and portfolio management
  • Camera and photo library access (only when you grant permission)
  • Device identifiers for analytics and app performance monitoring
  • Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
  • App crash reports and performance data (via Sentry) to improve app stability
  • In-app purchase and subscription data processed through Stripe
  • Location data (only if you enable location-based features)

Cookies and Authentication:

  • Cookies to authenticate users and provide secure access to the platform
  • Session tokens for maintaining login state

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the ProBeauty AI service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
  • To send subscription renewal notifications and service updates
  • To enable automation features (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp messaging)
  • To analyze usage and optimize features
  • To respond to support requests
  • To comply with legal obligations

Important: We do NOT use your data or uploaded content to train AI models. We use existing AI services (such as OpenAI, Together AI, Replicate, and Soniox) to process your requests. Your data is only used to provide the service, not for model training. See Section 8 (“Third-Party AI Services”) for full details.

We do not use the content of messages exchanged via Meta's APIs for training or monitoring purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data. We share information only with the following service providers necessary to operate our platform:

4. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while you have an active account
  • Deleted account data: Permanently removed within 30 days of deletion request
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Access Tokens: Retained until expiration, after which users will be prompted to renew
  • Images/Content: Deleted when you remove them from the app or when your account is deleted

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion — Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Portability — Request export of your data in a portable format

We implement robust security measures, including:

  • Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
  • Regular security monitoring

7. ProBeauty AI Mobile Application

The ProBeauty AI mobile application is available for iOS and Android devices. In addition to the data described above, the mobile app may collect:

  • Photos & Media: Photos you take or select from your device for client progress tracking, before/after galleries, and portfolio features. We only access photos you explicitly select or capture within the app.
  • Camera Access: When you grant permission, the app accesses your camera to capture photos for client records and portfolio management.
  • Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand app usage patterns and improve the user experience. This data is privacy-focused and does not include personal identifiers.
  • Crash Reports: We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance metrics from the mobile application. This helps us identify and fix issues to improve app stability. Crash data may include device type, OS version, and app state at the time of the error.
  • Payment Processing: In-app subscriptions and purchases are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Push Notifications: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to send you appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and important service updates.

You can manage app permissions (camera, photos, notifications, location) at any time through your device's settings.

8. Third-Party AI Services

ProBeauty AI integrates with third-party artificial intelligence service providers to power the AI features within our platform and mobile application. This section describes what data may be shared with these providers, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Data Shared with AI Providers

Depending on which AI features you use, the following types of data may be sent to third-party AI providers:

  • Text messages and prompts you enter in AI chat features
  • Images you upload for AI analysis, editing, or generation
  • Business profile information (such as business name, specialties, and experience) used to personalize AI responses
  • Client information (when using client history analysis features)
  • Audio recordings (when using voice-to-text features)
  • Documents you upload to the knowledge base

AI Service Providers

We use the following third-party AI service providers:

  • These providers process the data to generate responses, images, or transcriptions and return the results to the app.
  • We do not authorize these providers to use your data for training their AI models.

Each third-party AI provider we use is contractually required to provide data protection measures that are equivalent to or greater than those outlined in this Privacy Policy. Your Control Over AI Features

  • Use of AI-powered features is optional. You can choose not to use any AI features, and no data will be shared with AI service providers.
  • If you have previously used AI features and wish to have your data deleted, you may request deletion in accordance with Section 5 (“Your Rights”) of this Privacy Policy by contacting us at privacy@probeauty.ai.

9. Children's Privacy

ProBeauty AI is designed for beauty professionals and is not intended for users under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under the applicable age, we will delete it immediately.

10. Client Consent

Beauty professionals using ProBeauty AI are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from their clients for storing personal information and progress images.

SMS Booking Notifications: When a beauty professional enables our booking feature, clients will see a checkbox on the booking form to consent to receiving SMS messages (appointment confirmations and automated reminders). Clients can opt out at any time by replying “STOP.” SMS messages are sent via Twilio; carrier rates may apply.

11. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union, we process your data under the lawful bases of:

  • Contractual Necessity — To provide the services you've subscribed to
  • Legitimate Interest — To improve our services and prevent fraud
  • Consent — For optional features like marketing communications

ProBeauty AI operates primarily in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We use service providers that comply with applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR-compliant infrastructure.

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users promptly via email and/or in-app notification, as required by applicable law.
